In December 2017, the Gracechurch Group (which includes Palatium Investment Management, Dominic Lawson Bespoke Planning, Crocus Valley and Bonnar Allan) published a report on the state of brownfield sites in England, following on from the creation of pilot brownfield registers. 67 local planning authorities (‘LPAs’) had produced these pilot registers. As of 31 December 2017, all 338 LPAs were required to produce complete brownfield registers. Our initial report has been expanded to examine the 307 of these LPAs for which we have both a brownfield register and accompanying data on housing need.
